Oil Coast Jewelry is a selection of resin cast Jewelry made by students along the Gulf Coast during the summer of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill incident. Each piece includes oil collected on the beaches of Dauphin Island.
The Chiquimula Collection are limited edition medallions, made from particles that were biproducts of the preservation of artifacts from the schooner. Each resin cast piece was hand poured into a custom mold and laser etched details to reflect the image of the spectuclar ship. The ship was captained by Captain James Buffett, the grandfather of famed singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett.
